Hernando County, also known as Florida’s Adventure Coast, is the geographic center of the state with 20 cities. It is located on the west central coast of Florida and encompasses 37 miles from east to west, 18 miles from north to south, and contains 506 miles. Spring Hill is the largest city and Brooksville is the county seat of Hernando. Pasco’s freshwater rivers and springs, state forests and preserves, and Gulf waters provide opportunities for many land and water adventures for residents and tourists.
