Pinellas County is 38 miles long and 15 miles at its broadest point, for a total of 280 square miles, with 588 miles of coastline. Clearwater is the County Seat and St. Petersburg is the largest city. Pinellas County is the second-smallest county by geographical area. It is located along the Gulf Coast west of Tampa Bay. Pinellas County has 33 cities and they are best known for their top-rated beaches, great neighborhoods, award-winning golf courses, and for having some of the best weather in the nation.
